Dan Ewin is an accomplished insurance executive and attorney with over 25 years of experience providing strategic counsel and leadership across a multitude of insurance related industries. As General Counsel, he advises organizational leadership on legal strategy, legislative policy, regulatory compliance, governance and dispute resolution, drawing on his extensive background in high-stakes litigation and strategic decision making.
Prior to his current role, Dan served as Vice President of Litigation, where he directed strategy and managed American Tradition’s litigated case portfolio with a practical, results-oriented approach. Prior to joining American Traditions, Mr. Ewin was a partner with a prestigious Florida law firm specializing in the defense of first and third party property and casualty claims. Mr. Ewin’s past experience includes all manner of insurance law from pre-litigation coverage analysis through trial and post-trial motion and appellate practice. He has practiced in the areas of workers compensation, automobile and property insurance with his focus being on property insurance since 2008.
Licensed to practice law since 1999, Dan has built a reputation for combining strong legal analysis with sound business judgement. He earned his undergraduate degree in Finance at The Florida State University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida. He currently represents American Traditions as a member of the American Property Casualty Insurance Association, the Florida Insurance Counsel, the Florida Property and Casualty Insurance Association and the Florida Association of Insurance Agents.
Dan is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida and is currently the President of the Congregation at Our Savior Lutheran Church.
